Flooded office If a flood has affected your business, give SERVPRO, your restoration professionals, a call at 480-998-7989.

When a flood takes place on your commercial property, it can cause a disruption to your day to day business productivity. Business owners and employees want to know when they can return to the office to get back to work, but this all depends on the seriousness of the water damage that occurred and if the water involved poses a health hazard. No matter what the case is, SERVPRO of Scottsdale is here to provide restoration services to help get you back in the doors and running your business.

1. Cleanup

During the flood cleanup process, it is not ideal for employees to be present as the type of water involved needs to be taken into consideration. For instance, if the flooding is from a plumbing incident involving a sewer backup, this will most likely involve black or gray water which can pose serious health risks. Once the plumbing issue is resolved, SERVPRO comes in to handle the cleanup as we are certified to handle disaster cleanups.

2. Demolition

During this phase of the restoration process, SERVPRO will remove any affected materials that are contaminated by black or gray water. Common materials that are removed included: carpets, drywall, and insulation. It is also recommended that employees continue to stay out of the office as this process is taking place.

3. Sterilization

The affected area is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized while also adhering to all proper cautions, to ensure that the business is returned to pre-flood conditions and is deemed safe for employees.

4. Restoration

This process involves replacement of areas where affected materials were removed such as walls, carpets, etc. While it can be a challenge and of course depends on the severity of the restorations process needed, employees do have the option of returning to work during this phase. All of this is a discussed between our SERVPRO technicians and the business owners.
